Welcome to our website. We an Open Access sculpture studio dedicated to teaching sculpture to people of all levels of experience and ability. If you are interested in sculpture, we have the space.
FIRST YEAR CELEBRATION EXHIBITION!!!
To celebrate our first year in operation we are having an exhibition in Horsham in August. This takes place in the 2by4Artists Studios, The Drill Hall, Denne Road, on August 28th and 29th open from 12 - 7pm, and the weekend of August 30th and 31st from 10am to 5pm. Please come along to see work by ourselves and studio users and learn more about our courses and workshops.
BIG EVENT!!!THE ARTISTS AND MAKERS OPEN STUDIOS FESTIVAL was a BIG SUCCESS! We had many visitors through the door to have a look at work on display and enjoy our special events. On the last Sunday, we were lucky to have been able to welcome Japanese artist Masashi to the studio. Visitors were able to take part in a demonstration of calligraphy and listen to Masashi talk about his art and the Zen philosophy that underlies it. Harry Potter Illustrator Cliff Wright also provided interest on Saturday by taking the first cast of his sculpture of a Hippogriff out of the mould. BOOKING NOW FOR THE AUTUMN TERM! Have a look at our courses and workshops to see what we can offer you. As we arrange things according to demand, you can join us at any time of the year so even if you miss the first part of a term it is not too late to join.
OPENING TIMES FROM SEPTEMBER WILL BE:
Open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday -10AM to 5PM, THEN EVENING HOURS 7PM to 10PM
CLOSED Monday and Friday
Open Saturday - 10AM to 5PM.
TASTER SESSIONS. Unsure whether sculpture is for you? Try one of our Taster Sessions. We try to run these on the first or second Saturday of every month. The next one takes place in September. Here we explore techniques in ceramic sculpture and/or modeling in wax. COME AND JOIN IN THE FUN!! This is suitable for both complete beginners or those with experience.Find out more on our 'courses' page.
PRINTMAKING: From September we will be running courses for small groups in etching, mono-printing, collograph and drypoint. More information on this will be posted soon on the courses page (see menu).
