Not sure if sculpture is for you? Try joining us for an afternoon and enjoy learning how to build forms in clay ready for firing. Have fun exploring a variety of materials and techniques that may lead you on to further sculptural work. Contact us to arrange a time that suits you.


Enjoy three different approaches to working from the life model in clay throughout our autumn and spring term with tutors Marji Talbot, Jon Edgar and Mark Longworth.

£190 – 6 sessions - Model fees and firing and clay costs included

Why not join us as we explore portrait sculpture over five weeks? Work from life to create a lively portrait head. This course is suitable for all levels of experience.

Hazel Reeves specialises in portrait sculpture. She is an elected member of the Society of Women Artists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Enjoy a fun weekend exploring the portrait head and creating expressive work from live models.

£135 – 6 x 3hr sessions: 10am – 1pm

Class Size: 8

Wed: 10am – 1pm 

Enjoy learning to work intuitively in soft stone to produce imaginative work on a small scale. A selection of beautiful soft stones will be used. All practical aspects will be covered from the use of tools to polishing and finishing work.  All levels of experience welcome.



£140 per 6 x 3hr sessions plus materials/firing costs 

Tues:  afternoon - 2 - 5pm and evening - 7 - 9:30pm

Wed:  10am – 1pm &  2pm - 5pm 

Thurs: 10am - 1pm & 2pm – 5pm

Free Form is for those students who would like to work on their own individual projects but need technical help. Materials available for example are, clay for casting or firing, plaster, jesmonite for direct modelling on to armatures, and wax for modelling then casting into pewter. Bring your ideas and get started!

Learn how to make good quality moulds and cast your work in a variety of materials to achieve different finishes. This course runs on Tues am and pm, Wed pm, and Thurs am sessions.
