Have you ever wanted to capture someone’s face or expression in a sculpture? Working a portrait in clay is a really rewarding experience. Why don’t you join us as we explore portrait sculpture over four days. On the first day we will start by examining the model and exploring the structure of the head, building a small portrait in clay. This learning will then be used to start the development of a life-size portrait on an armature. We will continue to work on this with the model for the remaining three days. This course will be taught in a way suitable for all levels of experience – from beginners to the advanced.

Tutor: Hazel Reeves SWA specialises in portrait sculpture. She is an elected member of the Society of Women Artists and has exhibited with the Society of Portrait Sculptors.
